About This Spot
Stepping into Imperial Garden Beijing Duck Dim Sum Seafood, you find yourself embraced by a quietly bustling neighborhood spot where familiar warmth clouds the air alongside the scent of rich broths and sizzling woks. The pace here carries a gentle momentum — neither rushed nor languid — inviting guests to settle in and savor moments as they unfold, whether it’s a midday dim sum visit or an evening shared over generous plates of seafood and Beijing duck.
The atmosphere feels straightforward and approachable, lending itself well to casual gatherings and family dinners. Though busy during peak times, the dining room hums with conversation and the rhythmic clatter of dishes without ever tipping into overwhelm. It’s a place where the unfolding of flavors is meant to be experienced slowly: the delicate pop of pork shu mai balanced by bursts of fish eggs, or the comforting rhythm of stir-fried green beans and honey walnut prawns arriving to the table like old friends.
Imperial Garden’s menu invites exploration beyond the expected, blending dim sum favorites with thoughtful seafood dishes and wok-cooked classics that speak to a culinary heritage both regional and local. The Beijing duck, with its authentic thin pancakes and savory sauce, carries a quiet reverence each time it’s served, anchoring the meal with a sense of tradition. The accompanying dishes—whether the crispy seafood noodles or a comforting bowl of hot and sour soup—add layers to the experience, creating moments that feel both familiar and new.
Service here reflects the tempo of the room: attentive when quieter, and inevitably stretched during busier hours, yet grounded in genuine hospitality. This is a space where the communal pleasure of sharing plates and stories is front and center, where the food acts as a gathering point more than a spectacle.
Visitors drawn to Imperial Garden will find a local destination that mirrors the ebb and flow of Kent’s diverse community — lively and honest, with an atmosphere rich in subtle human moments. Whether ordering for delivery or settling in at a booth, the restaurant invites discovery through its tactile, heartfelt approach to Chinese dim sum and seafood offerings, making it a quietly compelling choice for those seeking comfort with a touch of adventure in every bite.

Pretty place for dimsum and dining, but if you stop by late close to the closing time these guys smoke inside the restaurant. So that’s the turn off for me. It got on my clothes and I inhale their cigarette smokes.

Delightful authentic Chinese cuisine. Best Peking roast duck I’ve ever had in the states. Decent Dim Sum, and very generous portion. The servers get busy when the crowd hits, but still reasonable services. Overall a solid eating experience.

Dim sum was good. It was quite odd that the deep fried shrimp tasted a bit sour. I'm used to seeing ground meat in sticky rice dish but now they use pieces of meat instead. Also, it appears the food quality has gone down hill. Their King county food safety rating is "Okay". Majority of the items on the menu are priced at L $6.25. Service is slow as well. Would be nice if they would bring back the dim sum carts.

We ordered the Douglas crab with Bifengtang flavor, reasonable portions. The Peking roast duck is great. The pancake and sauce is authentic but the cantaloupes as vege paring is a bit off. Dim sum is available for dinner as well but overall is OK.
